Join Us to Better Yourself, Your Department, and the Profession

An activity department can be an island, especially if you’re the only Activity Professional in the building. It can get lonely when you’re the only one coming up with ideas, solving the problems of the department, and planning for upcoming events. No one else understands.

But we do.

Activity Professionals of Greater Dallas is made up of people just like you. We’ve been there and done that, or we’re doing it now, or we’re thinking about doing it . . . either way, we have insights to share. We want to learn from you, too. We’re stronger together.

Membership is just $35, due in January of each year. You’re welcome to join anytime, but we do not pro-rate membership dues. Join now to start earning CEUs, voting in elections, serving on a committee, or if you’re thinking about running for office. To do any of those things, you need to be a member in good standing.

Active Membership is open to 1) any Activity Professional employed at least 20 hours per week in a senior facility, or 2) a qualified activity professional (as defined by the Guidance of Surveyors-Long Term Care Facilities – Tag F248), even if not currently employed in the activities profession.

Associate Membership 

Associate Membership is open to those who are not eligible for Active Membership but are still interested in promoting the purpose of APAGD. Associate Members may participate in meetings and be appointed to committees but are not eligible to vote or hold executive office.  Note:  Associate Members who are also vendors may not use APAGD membership rosters or meetings to promote their business unless requested by an executive board officer for educational purposes. Annual dues for Associate Membership are $35.
